Job Corps’ Youth 2 Youth: Awareness. Action. Accountability. initiative is a student-led campaign aimed at combating violence and drug use and supporting mental health on all Job Corps campuses.

 

Y2Y seeks to:

  • Talk about violence, drug use and mental health in our community.
  • Empower one another to prevent violence and drug use, as well as take care of our mental health.
  • Share stories and talk about solutions to help others prevent violence and drug use and improve mental health. Join the Y2Y Facebook group

July 12
National Simplicity Day
This day encourages individuals to step back from their fast-paced lives and find joy in simplicity. Spend some time to get away from distractions by going on a walk, unplugging from devices or reading your favorite book.

July 15
National Give Something Away Day
Giving benefits the community and can teach gratitude, empathy, compassion and more. Encourage students to clean out their closets, volunteer their time or donate to their local food pantry.

July 27
National Love is Kind Day
Today promotes treating others with kindness and compassion.

July 28
World Nature Conservation Day
Raise campus awareness about preserving and protecting Earth’s natural resources or ecosystems.
