Let's celebrate success!

Job Corps’ best advocates are the students and staff who have firsthand experience of the program’s impact. That’s why Job Corps relaunched the Job Corps Hall of Fame, an initiative that formally recognizes the successes of those in the Job Corps community—from current students to alumni achieving their dreams, to the staff who help make it all happen.

Thank you for your participation. The nomination period for the 2024 Job Corps Hall of Fame is now closed. We look forward to celebrating with you and the winning recipients in August.

Each center is welcome to submit one nomination per category. Submissions should come from the Center Director's office. Self-nominations are not permitted at this time.

One Job Corps graduate with five-plus years of career experience will earn the Hall of Fame award.

CRITERIA:

  • With Job Corps for a minimum of eight months; graduated at least five years ago.
  • Completed a Job Corps career training program and has a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Is employed in the same field as their Job Corps career training.
  • Obtained educational and employment-related achievements in the area of their Job Corps career training after graduating from Job Corps.
  • Made a difference in the community through community service/volunteer work.

Three recent Job Corps graduates (graduated within the last two years) will earn the Successful Graduate award.

CRITERIA:

  • With Job Corps for a minimum of eight months; graduated within the last two years.
  • Completed a Job Corps career training program and has a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Is employed in the same field as their Job Corps career training.
  • Obtained educational and employment-related achievements in the area of their Job Corps career training after graduating from Job Corps.
  • Made a difference in the community through community service/volunteer work.

Two current Job Corps students will earn the Job Corps Rising Star award.

CRITERIA:

  • Commitment to career readiness through resume writing/interview preparation and technical career training advancement, shown through TABE increases, high school diploma/educational attainments, and going above and beyond with training (class leadership and work-based learning assignments).
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities through career training and dorm leadership positions, participation in SGA, and other on-campus clubs/activities; helps support peers’ growth and success in the program.

One campus leader, instructor, or Outreach and Admissions staff member will earn the Job Corps Staff Motivator of the Year award.

CRITERIA:

  • Commitment to supporting students in their career and education training, leadership, and overall well-being.
  • Letters of recommendation from other staff and the Regional Office, as well as messages of support from students, will be encouraged as part of the nomination.

Award recipients will be inducted into each year’s Job Corps Hall of Fame class at an in-person ceremony during the Leadership Summit in August and will serve as advocates for Job Corps by sharing their experiences about the program’s benefits.
